Juniper Ridge Intermediate School
Juniper Ridge is a Grade 5 - 8 Intermediate school located on the Northeast Avalon in Torbay, NL. Nestled at the foot of the Torbay ridge among a small forest of junipers, we service the communities of Torbay, Flatrock, Pouch Cove and Bauline.
Our approximately 720 students are very creative and energetic. They are taught by a staff of 64 teachers and support personnel who love working with this group of students. We are a very active school with many activities and events taking place throughout the year. You can try to keep up with everything we are doing by following our Twitter feed @JuniperRidgeNL
School Screening Questionnaire
Parents/guardians/students/staff must use this questionnaire daily to decide if the student or staff should attend school. Please note that this form has been updated as of November 9, 2020
If your child or if a staff member has answered “Yes” to any of the above questions in the pre-screening questionnaire, please DO NOT enter the school at this time. Your child or the staff member should stay home and use the COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool to determine whether they need to be tested for COVID-19. If your child or if a staff member has answered “No” to all the above questions, your child or the staff member may attend school.
If your child is absent, please email the school at juniperridgeint@nlesd.ca so that attendance can be kept up to date.

Sports Teams at JRI
Given the Special Measures Order issued by the Chief Medical Officer of Health on February 8th, the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District is suspending, until further notice, all extra-curricular and co-curricular activities in Metro-area schools. This is effective immediately.
This is an unfortunate measure, but a prudent step being taken in the best interest of student health and public safety. The District continues to rely on medical advice from Public Health with respect to the operation of schools.
Click Here to access the Feb 8th Provincial Government Covid-19 update. We will provide updated information as it becomes available to the District.
